How does it work? SnoozeShade Plus creates a comfortingly dark space that encourages naps by boosting melatonin (the sleepy hormone) and blurring distractions. When your child naturally stirs at the end of their sleep cycle, our unique fabric prevents them from latching on to visual stimuli that may stop them from getting the deeper, longer nap they need. SnoozeShade Plus can be used in snooze mode or shade mode, both of which provide UV protection.

What's the shade mode? In shade mode, SnoozeShade Plus shields your child from 80% of UV rays while still allowing them to see out through the inner window, which is made from a single panel of our innovative mesh. It also protects from wind, light rain, and pesky insects. (Please note the inner window does not open. If you'd prefer both front panels to fully open, SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe would be a better option for you.)

What's the snooze mode? When it’s time for a nap, convert your SnoozeShade Plus to snooze mode by zipping up the outer panel (an extra layer of air-permeable mesh). This snooze panel covers the inner window to create a sleep-friendly environment that blurs distractions, shuts out 94% of light, and blocks 99% of UV rays (UPF 50+). A sleeping-baby emblem deters people from disturbing your child, while the sneak-a-peek zip means you can discreetly check on them without letting in too much light.

When the snooze panel is not in use, simply roll it up and secure it with the integrated straps to stop it from snagging on your wheels.

Will it help my child nap? When in snooze mode, SnoozeShade Plus works like a portable blackout blind, creating a sleep-friendly space by blocking out light and blurring distractions. It’s recommended by baby-sleep experts worldwide, because when used regularly it acts as a sleep cue, helping your child learn when it’s nap time in the same way shutting the drapes in their nursery does.

What age is it for? We recommend SnoozeShade Plus for babies from six months, because it’s proportioned to fit strollers when your little one is sitting up. If you’re looking for a SnoozeShade for a smaller baby in a carrycot, you’ll find SnoozeShade Original is a better fit. You can continue using SnoozeShade Plus as long as your child is in their stroller. Our founder, Cara, still used hers occasionally when her daughter was five!

Is SnoozeShade Plus machine washable? Of course – it was invented by a mom! All SnoozeShades are machine washable at 30° and can be tumble-dried on low heat.

Will it fit my stroller? Yes! SnoozeShades are all universally sized and fit all single-width strollers with a hood, including jogging strollers. We’ve even seen them used on bike trailers and festival trolleys! You don’t need to worry about the type of pushchair you have – simply choose the SnoozeShade that suits the age of your child.

How does SnoozeShade Plus attach to my stroller? SnoozeShade Plus attaches to absolutely any stroller in seconds. The soft mesh, elasticated sides, and stretchy straps make it effortless to fit. Here are our top tips:

1. SnoozeShade Plus has eight sets of straps, but you don’t need to use them all. As long as you have a secure fit with no gaps to let in light, you’re good to go!
2. Attach the straps to the frame of your stroller or through any gap you find (hood hinges are ideal). They can also be connected around the back of (or under) the stroller. It’s OK to stretch the straps – they’re designed to extend as needed.
3. Pull the stroller hood forward at least halfway before attaching the top straps. Your SnoozeShade will then sit lower at the front, and will be easier to attach at the bottom.

Do I need to leave it on my stroller all the time? No, SnoozeShade Plus is super lightweight and packs down into a handy storage bag (free with every order) that’s compact enough to pop into your change bag or stroller basket.
